The Center for Turkish Studies at the Middle East Institute is proud to host Moran Banai and Ali H. Aslan for a discussion on Turkish-Israeli relations.

BIO:
Moran Banai is the Editor of the Middle East Bulletin, which reports the robust debate and news from the  region to the United States and the world. She worked as a researcher for the National Security Network on issues including transnational terrorism and U.S. economic competitiveness, and she was the Editor-in-Chief of Columbia University`s Journal of International Affairs from 2005 to 2006. Ms. Banai has a background in education on the Arab-Israeli conflict from her time working as the National Director of Hashomer Hatzair and as the Director of Programs and Academic Affairs at Meretz USA for Israeli civil rights and peace. She has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University`s School of International and Public Affairs and graduated magna cum laude from Brown University.

Ali H. Aslan has been the Washington Correspondent of one of Turkey`s largest daily newspapers, Zaman, since 1997. Mr. Aslan formerly worked at Zaman`s Istanbul headquarters in various capacities including Deputy News Editor. He also writes a weekly column for the same paper and its English language affiliate Today`s Zaman. As a frequent contributor to Turkish national Samanyolu television and the weekly news magazine Aksiyon, Mr. Aslan covers international relations with a special focus on U.S. and Turkey. He holds a B.A. degree from Bogazici (Bosphorus) University located in Istanbul, Turkey
