Adjunct Scholar Trita Parsi discusses Iran on PBS

06/22/2009

Adjunct Scholar Trita Parsi weighed in on the post-election situation in Iran during a recent interview with Tavis Smiley on PBS. "The demonstrators have proven their point," Parsi said. When asked about President Obama's reaction to the situation, Parsi expressed a need for stronger rhetoric. "I do believe that a more clear and strong condemnation of the violence and the brutality that the police and government have shown against the people is needed," he said. "I'm missing the word "condemn" when I'm listening to the President."
