Generous contributions from individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundations make up more than two-thirds of MEI's revenue. The balance of its income is derived from memberships, subscriptions to The Middle East Journal, tuition from Languages and Regional Studies classes and program admission fees. All donations go toward programs and staff support. MEI has functioned over the years without a significant endowment. An ongoing goal is to create a stronger financial base for the Institute by increasing this endowment. Since 1987 the board-designated investment fund has grown from $19,000 to nearly $2,000,000. Your generous contributions will be welcomed in sustaining the Middle East Institute's commitment to another 60 years of engagement in increasing American understanding of the critical issues of the Middle East.
