As the most public face of MEI, the Department of Programs strives to design, recruit, and implement the most thought-provoking and educational events on the Middle East in Washington, DC today. In order to fulfill its mission, the MEI Department of Programs relies heavily on the work of talented and motivated interns.
Responsibilities include:
1) Assist in the logistical implementation of forums for speakers
Events will be on on political, economic, social, and cultural issues of relevance for timely MEI programs, which range from both off-the-record and televised lectures to public debates to major conferences and seminars both in Washington, DC and other cities.
2) Research prospective future speakers
With the guidance of the program officer, develop a wish-list of speakers for future programs.
3) Write programs summaries for each high profile event at MEI
All event summaries will be published on MEI’s highly-trafficked website.
4) Make contacts
