Dr. Bashir Saade is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Previously, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration at the American University of Beirut. His main areas of teaching are Pre-modern and Contemporary Political Philosophy, Medieval and Contemporary Arab and Islamic Thought, Political Anthropology and Economy, Social Theory and Research Methodology. He previously served as UNDP Project Researcher in the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade, Business and Economic Reporter and Editor of Syria Report, and Head of Project Researcher at the Ministry of Information, Beirut. He earned his PhD in War Studies from King's College, University of London, where his dissertation focused on "Hizbullah and the Politics of Remembering." He earned an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA with Distinction from the American University of Beirut.
