Youssef M. Ibrahim was Energy Editor of The Wall Street Journal from 1981 to 1986 and senior Middle East correspondent for The New York Times from 1986 to 1999. He served as Vice President of British Petroleum until 2002 and is now a freelance writer and political-risk consultant. He won a Polk Award and the International Energy Economists Award for his energy coverage at the WSJ and an Overseas Club Press Award for political coverage of the Middle East.
