As regional tensions escalate following Israel and Iran's exchange of fire, the Middle East Institute (MEI) will convene an expert briefing to assess the evolving military landscape and strategic calculations during the first two nights of the conflict.
This on-the-record, public virtual event will feature former senior commanders from US Central Command and the US Navy, alongside MEI’s leading expert on Iranian regional policy. Together, they will analyze the operational dimensions of the crisis, risks of further military confrontation, and implications for US and allied defense posture in the region.
