Roie Yellinek is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at Bar-Ilan University focusing on the response of Middle Eastern countries to the growth of China. He has worked for the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and as a research assistant in his university department. Currently, he is a Fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA), the Kohelet Policy Forum and the China-Med project. He is also a freelance journalist.
