Stylianos Kostas is a Political Scientist. he earned a Master's degree in European Studies at the LUISS – School of Government in Rome, Italy and holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Determined to focus more on Human Rights, che ontinued his academic studies and earned a Master's degree in Democratic Governance, Democracy and Human Rights in the MENA Region at the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights and Democratisation in Lido – Venice, Italy. He conducted field research at the National Human Rights Council in Rabat, Morocco on irregular immigration-related detention. He has a work experience on migration, asylum, security and border management through his service at the Greek Ministry of Interior and a relevant position at a Greek Diplomatic Mission in the Middle East, in Tehran Iran. He has worked as researcher / advisor on refugee doctrine and international jurisprudence at the Brazilian National Committee for Refugees. His research interests focus mostly on migration, asylum, human rights, security and politics in the MENA, Europe and the Americas.
