Xiaoli Guo is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) in the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the Australian National University (ANU). She has been a visiting scholar at Department of International Relations and East Asian Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Chinese Translation Studies in Faculty of Arts at Gazi University in 2017; The Middle East Studies Institute at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) in 2018.
