Ariane M. Tabatabai is an associate political scientist at the RAND Corporation. Previously, she served as the director of curriculum and a visiting assistant professor in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University, as well as a consultant for NATO. She has held positions at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she was a senior associate, and the Center for A New American Security (CNAS), where she was an adjunct senior fellow. She held appointments as Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow and a post-doctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center. Tabatabai is the co-author of Triple Axis: Iran’s Relations with Russia and China and her work has appeared in International Security, The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, and Foreign Policy.
