Emmanuel Cohen-Hadria is a policy analyst specializing in EU foreign policy, with a particular focus on the MENA region. For a decade, he has been coordinating policy-oriented research, writing, and reaching out to policy and think tank audiences on EU relations with its Southern Mediterranean neighbors, in particular Tunisia.
He was previously coordinating the Euro-Mediterranean Policies Department of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and served as the team leader of “EuroMeSCo: Connecting the Dots,” an EU-funded project involving think tanks around the Mediterranean region. He worked eight years for the European Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS). He was based in the Western Balkans between 2006 and 2011. Between 2012 and 2015, he worked in the office of the deputy secretary general for political affairs of the EEAS. He teaches EU foreign policy at the Blanquerna Faculty/Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. He graduated from the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium) and Sciences-Po (Paris, France).
