Gregory Brew is a historian of oil, modern Iran, and US foreign relations in the Cold War. His books include Petroleum and Progress in Iran and The Struggle for Iran: Oil, Autocracy, and the Cold War, 1951-1954. He has held positions at Yale University's Jackson School for Global Affairs and Southern Methodist University. Gregory is also an analyst of the energy industry and the geopolitics of oil and gas, and has published essays and commentary in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, War on the Rocks, Just Security, Washington Post, LA Time and Time Magazine. In 2023, Gregory joined Eurasia Group and he currently serves as an analyst covering Iran and energy.
