Jessica Obeid is an independent energy policy consultant advising international organizations and governments on electricity and energy transition. In addition, she serves as a Senior Global Advisor for London-based consultancy Azure Strategy. She is Academy Associate at Chatham House’s energy, environment and resources programme in London, where she previously served as resident fellow in 2017-2018, and non-resident fellow for the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies. Prior to moving into policy in 2017, Jessica had a decade experience in engineering, with her last position being chief energy engineer at the United Nations Development Programme in Beirut.

She has published widely and regularly provides expert commentary to leading media outlets. She has been awarded the EU Visitors Programme, the US State Department’s TechWomen and the UK FCDO International Leaders Fellowships. Jessica holds a master’s degree in Political Sciences with emphasis on Diplomacy and Negotiations, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Lebanese American University.
