My experience with Rashid has been great so far. He's been very accommodating with scheduling and is great with gearing lessons around the things I need and want to work on. I've genuinely made quicker progress working with him than in my university courses.

Zahraa and MEI are my favorite part of my week. We have worked together for about a year and a half now and are constantly moving towards my goal of a 3 on the DLPT. MEI is also very flexible with scheduling and understanding should something come up, as well as working with me to provide any documentation needed to my company for their payment records. Definitely the best find since I moved to DC a few years ago!

I've really enjoyed my time in an MEI class and I've found the caliber of classes to be much higher than other language classes in DC.

Taking Persian at MEI is a great experience, the instructor is a native speaker who effectively makes learning the new alphabet a manageable task. Class sizes are small which means that everyone gets the attention they need while benefiting from the group learning experience.

Sheri is extremely enthusiastic and committed to developing fun and educational lesson plans. In addition to preparing her own structured grammar lessons, stories, dialogues, and homework to improve reading and comprehension, she uses non-traditional methods to complement students’ understanding of both the language and culture. For example, she used the game “Guess Who?” to work on descriptive adjectives and question making; we learned the lyrics to a popular and catchy Persian pop song to help us learn the subjunctive tense; she’s included recipes in her lessons to help us work on numbers, measurements, and imperative tense – she even made homemade Tahchin, a popular (and delicious) Persian dish for one of her classes.

Fatima did a great job giving us lots of speaking, listening and reading practice. Kudos to everyone for adapting so well in this crisis!
