Alia Awadallah is a former non-resident scholar with the Cyber program at the Middle East Institute. Her work focuses on international security, disinformation, security cooperation, and U.S. policy in the Middle East. Alia is also a Presidential Management Fellowship finalist and Rumsfeld Fellow. She previously served as a Research Associate on the National Security and International Policy team at the Center for American Progress and as a Senior Program Coordinator at Vital Voices Global Partnership. 

Alia has published reports and articles on U.S. Middle East policy, security cooperation, counterterrorism, disinformation, and violent extremism.
